The Mississippi Center for Advanced Medicine is seeking to hire a Pediatric Hospitalist to work at Baptist Memorial Hospital – North Mississippi.

Coordinated Care Model: The Mississippi Center for Advanced Medicine offers a patient-centered treatment team that includes subspecialty physicians, clinical pharmacy, nursing, and social work/care coordination to ensure the patient and family have all of the resources necessary to navigate complex medical processes and insure the best possible outcomes.

MCAM’s outpatient clinics are currently based in Madison, Mississippi and MCAM currently staffs the pediatric hospitalist program at Mississippi Baptist Medical Center in Jackson and will now be providing physician coverage for the program at Baptist Memorial Hospital-North Mississippi in Oxford. MCAM is hiring a board certified/board eligible pediatric hospitalist that will work a seven on seven off shift at Baptist Memorial Hospital – North Mississippi. The hospitalist will be employed by MCAM and work on the pediatric floor at Baptist in Oxford. Baptist Memorial Hospital – North Mississippi most recently received an “A” Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade.

The hospitalist will help continue to grow the pediatric inpatient program at Baptist which was established approximately four years ago. The hospitalists will cover the pediatric floor, newborn nursery (level II), well babies and Cesarean sections. The hospitalist will admit pediatric patients from the ER, subspecialty patients from MCAM and patients from community pediatricians. They will also be available for emeregency room consults.
