Jordan Robinson, JD, MHA
Jordan Robinson serves as Vice President and Chief Operating Officer for MCAM and leads the Center’s operations, outreach strategy, business development, relationships with physicians, pharmacies, hospitals, health systems and other health care related entities throughout the state and beyond. Jordan graduated with honors from the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Science in Food and Resource Economics, from the University of Mississippi School of Law with a Juris Doctor (JD) and from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health with a Master of Health Administration (MHA). Jordan has healthcare administration experience at two children’s hospitals and a Federally Qualified Health Center Look-Alike including involvement and leadership with ambulatory strategy and outreach, service line growth, primary care, population health and network development, human resources, Delivery System Reform Incentive Plan payment models (DSRIP), facilities and space planning. Jordan enjoys spending time with his wife, Meghan, and daughters, Blythe, and Georgia, and is an avid fisherman and SEC football enthusiast.
Ray Rodriguez, MD, JD, MPH, MBA
Dr. Ray Rodriguez serves as the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) and Director of Pediatric Allergy and Immunology at the Mississippi Center for Advanced Medicine. In his role as CMO, Dr. Rodriguez oversees the pediatric hospitalist program which is a partnership between MCAM and Mississippi Baptist Medical Center. In addition to serving as a full-time pediatric allergist, he also plays a key role in physician recruiting, credentialing, program development and organizational strategy. Rodriguez is a native of Puerto Rico and is fluent in both English and Spanish. He holds a Medical Degree (M.D.) from Ponce School of Medicine in Puerto Rico, his Juris Doctor (J.D.) from the University of Puerto Rico Law School, his Master in Public Health (MPH) from the University of Puerto Rico and his Master in Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Tennessee. Dr. Rodriguez completed his Pediatric Residency from William Beaumont Army Medical Center in El Paso, Texas, his Allergy Immunology and Clinical Laboratory Immunology Fellowships from Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, DC. He has experience in a variety of settings including solo practice, academic medical center settings and at military hospitals including Dewitt Army Community Hospital in Ft. Belvoir, Virginia, Womack Army Medical Center in Ft. Bragg, North Carolina and as Chief of Allergy Immunology at William Beaumont Medical Center. He is a fellow of the American College of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology, the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology and American Academy of Pediatrics. In his spare time, Dr. Rodriguez enjoys spending time with his wife Ivonne and two children Roxanne, and Ryan.
Walt Rogers serves as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer overseeing all financial operations at MCAM. Walt provides organizational leadership for accounts receivable, billing, budgeting, coding, financial forecasting and supply chain management. Walt holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Information Systems from Mississippi State University and is a graduate of the Mississippi School for Mathematics and Science. Mr. Rogers joined MCAM with over 13 years in healthcare finance experience including positions as Controller at Northwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center, Acting CFO at Madison County Medical Center, Controller at Central Mississippi Medical Center, Director of Finance Operations at Health Management Associates, Chief Financial Officer at the Medical Center for Southeastern Oklahoma, and as Vice President of Finance at Mid South Rehab Services in Ridgeland. Walt is married to Melissa, and they have three children, Madeline, Anna and William. Walt is an avid Mississippi State Bulldog supporter and plays guitar for First Ridgeland Baptist Church.
Spencer Sullivan, MD
Dr. Spencer Sullivan is the President and CEO of the Mississippi Center for Advanced Medicine and also serves as the Director for the Hemostasis and Thrombosis program. Dr. Sullivan received his Bachelor of Science in Applied Science and his Medical Degree (M.D.) from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He completed a pediatric residency and a fellowship in Blood Banking and Transfusion medicine at the University of Virginia and a Pediatric Hematology/Oncology fellowship at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP). He is an active member of the American Society of Hematology and the Hemostasis and Thrombosis Research Society. His clinical interests include pediatric hemostasis and thrombosis and coagulation. Dr. Sullivan is involved in several research projects, including gene therapy for hemophilia. In his spare time, Dr. Sullivan enjoys spending time with his wife Lisa, and four daughters; Scarlett, Ashlyn, Nora and Blaire, and is an avid Philadelphia Eagles fan.
Kathy Van Zant, BA, SPHR
Kathy Van Zant serves as the Vice President of Human Resources at the Mississippi Center for Advanced Medicine. In this role, Kathy is responsible for the strategy and operations of all human resource functions including the development and implementation of an HRIS system, employee handbook, new employee orientation, benefit selection, performance management and human resources strategic planning. Kathy is a seasoned human resources professional with over 30 years of in-depth experience in the development and delivery of human resources programs tied to federal and state regulatory compliance, business objectives for organization and business process redesign, resource management (staffing and redeployment), compensation and employee relations. She has extensive experience in a variety of settings including as Vice President of Human Resources at Gerber Alley and Associates and HR Practice Lead at Palmer & Cay Consulting. She has served in healthcare leadership and consulting roles at St. John’s Medical Center in Joplin, Missouri, Diamond Healthcare, Regional West Healthcare, The Christ Hospital, Emory, Piedmont Hospital, and more. Kathy graduated from Mansfield University in Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and is a Certified Senior Professional in Human Resources. In her free time, Kathy enjoys among other things traveling, hiking, Native American culture and arts, and cooking.
