Kristinna Burditt serves as a Patient Services Representative at MCAM where she works primarily with Cardiology, Maternal Fetal Medicine and Neuromuscular Medicine patients. Kristinna’s role includes checking patients in and out, scheduling new and return visits and greeting patient families with a smile and a willingness to help. Ms. Burditt also utilizes her creative skills on marketing projects for MCAM and assistance with the website. Prior to MCAM, she served as the Wish Coordinator for Make-A-Wish Mississippi where she organized the entire wish process for each child’s wish including all of the travel, accommodations, and itinerary logistics. She has also worked as an Administrative Marketing Coordinator for Trustmark National Bank and a Volunteer Coordinator for Mississippi Food Network. Ms. Burditt is married to Wade and they have one daughter, Annison. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends.
Dillon Butler, BS
Dillon Butler works as a Patient Services Representative at MCAM’s Tupelo office. In his role, Dillon serves patient families by answering phones, processing referrals, checking patients in and greeting each patient with a friendly smile and willingness to help. Mr. Butler holds a Bachelor of Science in History and Political Science from the University of Alabama. Dillon is passionate about making life better for children and has experience as a summer camp counselor and teacher and as a paraprofessional at an elementary school. He also has worked as a sales team lead at State Farm Insurance and as a Care Guide at UAB’s Kirklin Oncology Clinic. In his spare time, Dillon enjoys hiking, kayaking, softball, volleyball and Alabama Football.
Candace Cummins, BS
Candace Cummins serves as a Patient Services Representative, primarily located at MCAM’s offices on Old Canton Road in Madison. Ms. Cummins graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Social Work from Mississippi College where she was also a Heritage Scholarship recipient and served in the Guardian Ad Litem program. Candace has a passion for serving children and has volunteered at her church, its Vacation Bible School program and at Ruel Foundation orphanage where she was the primary caregiver for small children. Candace also has volunteer experience at Southern Christian Services and completed a social work internship at Canopy Children’s Solutions. At MCAM, Candace’s primary responsibilities include patient check in and registration, processing referrals and patient phone calls. Candace has two sons, Isaiah and Ezra, and three dogs, Little Boy, Little Girl and Jake. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with Jesus and her family, being outdoors, and attending church.
Ashley Googe, BS
Ashley Googe serves as a Patient Services Representative at MCAM where she works primarily with Pediatric Allergy and Immunology, Pediatric Hematology, Neuromuscular Medicine and Autonomic Disorders, and Pediatric Plastic Surgery patients. Ashley’s role includes registering patients, scheduling appointments and greeting families with a warm smile and a willingness to help. Ms. Googe holds a Bachelor of Science in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Mississippi. Prior to joining MCAM she held a variety of roles at the National Student Speech Language Hearing Association and has provided in-home childcare for a special needs child. She’s also completed externships at a variety of pediatric and adult care settings and is excited to begin her service at MCAM. In her spare time, Ashley enjoys being around family and spending time outdoors including hiking, biking and playing soccer.
Christy Grantham serves as Cash Posting Specialist at Mississippi Center for Advanced Medicine. In this role, Christy ensures payments and remittances are posted to patient accounts in MCAM’s electronic health record systems, communicates with insurance companies to process difficult claims, and ensures the accuracy of patient statements. Prior to joining MCAM, Christy served as an Accounts Receivable Supervisor at Country Originals, a Collections Specialist at Mississippi Sports Medicine, a Patient Financial Specialist at Pioneer Health Services, a Medical Records Auditor at Lakeland Nursing and Rehabilitation and as a legal assistant. In her spare time, Christy enjoys riding horses, wood working, cheering on the Ole Miss Rebels and most importantly spending time with her son Aiden.
Ashley Guerdan, BS
Ashley Guerdan serves as a Patient Services Representative at Mississippi Center for Advanced Medicine. In this role, Ashley works primarily at MCAM’s Baptist Drive office greeting patients with a friendly smile and service oriented approach. Ashley works to check patients in, assists with patient and MyChart registration and processes referrals, phone calls and faxes. Ashley’s healthcare experience includes working in an administrative support role in a pediatric gastroenterology setting. She also has experience in a variety of customer service oriented roles including as an office manager at Anser Services, a general manager at Jo To Go and as a general manager at Little Caesar’s. In her free time, Ashley enjoys spending time with her family and is an avid Green Bay Packers fan.
Kelly Herring is a Patient Services Representative for the Mississippi Center for Advanced Medicine. Kelly also serves as MCAM’s referral coordinator. She works to provide a family-centered approach to the orientation and education of patient families upon arrival, patient check-in, check-out, scheduling and patient reminders. Ms. Herring has previously served as the referral coordinator at the Prenatal Diagnostic Center working with Dr. Ken Perry for eight years. Kelly is married and has two daughters, Destiny and Kirstie who both graduated from Mississippi State University In her spare time, she enjoys cooking/baking and attending MSU sporting events.
Lynn Kimsey, CPC, CPC-I, CPCO, CPMA, CEMC
Lynn Kimsey serves as the Billing and Coding Manager for Mississippi Center for Advanced Medicine. In this role, Lynn works closely with providers, clinicians and front office personnel to ensure an efficient and ethical practice related to payer and patient billing. Lynn has over forty years of experience in billing and coding at a variety of settings including pediatrics, family medicine, multi-specialty group practice, Willis-Knighton Health System and for an outsourced billing company. Lynn is a Certified Professional Coder (CPC) and Instructor (CPC-I), Certified Professional Compliance Officer (CPCO), Certified Professional Medical Auditor, and a Certified Evaluation and Management Coder. Ms. Kimsey is excited to work at MCAM and help the organization grow as additional pediatric services are added. In her spare time,Lynn enjoys spending time with her granddaughter, cooking and reading.
Michelle Smith, AA
Michelle Smith serves as a Patient Services Representative at MCAM, primarily located at MCAM’s offices on Old Canton Road in Madison where she greets patients with a friendly smile and willingness to help. Ms. Smith holds an Associates of Arts degree in Business Administration from American Intercontinental University and a diploma in Clinical Medical Assisting from Virginia College. Michelle has over ten years of experience managing business office functions and providing executive level support to physicians and nurses. Michelle’s experience includes serving as a billing specialist for an OBGYN department and as an administrative assistant for a cardiology lab, pediatric endocrinology department and a school of medicine. In her free time Michelle enjoys spending quality time with her husband Michael and her family. She also enjoys working at her local church where she serves as the Youth Department President, Girls Youth Ministry Leader and Bible Study Teacher.
Sue Stevens, BS, RN
Sue Stevens works in the Patient Financial Services and Medical Staff Services departments at MCAM and provides organizational support for accounts payable, patient account management, payment processing and medical staff credentialing. Sue has over twenty-one years of nursing experience and graduated with honors from Mississippi College with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and Cum Laude from Meridian Community College with an Associate Degree in Nursing. Ms. Stevens’ extensive accomplishments include owning and operating a fitness and weight loss facility, serving as a staff nurse for a vascular surgery practice and as charge nurse on an antepartum high risk pregnancy floor. Sue enjoys spending time with her husband, John, her children and their spouses, Rob (Tiffany), Laura (Ron) and grandchildren, Moxon and Nix. She also likes to utilize her artistic abilities to create handmade quilts and greeting cards.
Khadija Sykes, AA
Khadija Sykes serves as a Medical Billing Specialist at the Mississippi Center for Advanced Medicine. In this role, Khadija is responsible for the timely review, billing and follow up with payers regarding MCAM’s professional billing. Ms. Sykes serves as an integral part of the Finance team at MCAM by processing and reconciling complex insurance claims. Prior to MCAM, Khadija served in a variety of healthcare finance roles including time at Mercy Hospital and the Medical Center in Chicago and as a transplant biller at an academic medical center. Ms. Sykes graduated from Richard Daley College with her Associates degree. She also holds a certificate in Medical Billing and Coding from the Computer Training Institute of Chicago. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, watching cooking shows, gardening, shopping and spending quality time with family.
Pamela Thomas, AA
Pamela Thomas serves as a referral coordinator for the Mississippi Center for Advanced Medicine. She works to provide a family-centered approach to the orientation and education of patient families as well as scheduling and providing patient reminders. She also assists with special projects and other assignments. She has an Associates of Art degree in Business Administration from Hinds Community College in Utica, Mississippi. Pam has approximately fifteen years of experience in a pediatric hematology/oncology setting where she assisted with patient intake, registration and orientation, and training new employees. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling with her two children, Shabrecka and LaDarrius, and cooking.
