Lisa Roberts, PhD

Dr. Lisa Roberts will serve as the Director of Child and Adolescent Psychology at MCAM. Dr. Roberts holds a Bachelor of Arts from West Virginia Wesleyan College, a Master of Science in clinical psychology from Loyola University Maryland, and a Doctor of Philosophy in school psychology from The University of Texas at Austin. She completed her predoctoral internship in child clinical psychology at the University of Louisville School of Medicine and her postdoctoral fellowship in clinical psychology at the Charlottesville League of Therapists in Charlottesville, Virginia. Dr. Roberts is a licensed psychologist who specializes in working with children and adolescents and their families. She provides evidence-based therapies to address various mental health concerns, as well as offer consultation to children with complex medical concerns. Additionally, Dr. Roberts conducts psychological assessments to help with diagnostic clarification and treatment planning. She is certified in Parent Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), an evidence-based treatment for young children with behavioral difficulties. Prior to joining MCAM, Dr. Roberts served children and their families in the Tidewater Region of Virginia as a child psychologist at the Naval Medical Center at Portsmouth. Prior to that she provided psychological services to students in Virginia Beach City Public Schools. Dr. Roberts is excited to bring her passion for serving children to Mississippi and to enhance the pediatric behavioral and mental health diagnostic and treatment options available in our area. In her spare time, Dr. Roberts enjoys exploring her new home state, watching sports, and spending time outdoors.
