Jill Walters

Jill Walters serves as a Licensed Master Social Worker and Pediatric Mental Health Therapist at MCAM. In this position, Jill provides an integrative and holistic therapy approach for children, adolescents, and their families experiencing mental health issues, communication challenges, or family conflict. She is well-versed in evidence-based cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), behavioral therapy, and parent management training.  Mrs. Walters provides an empathetic, upbeat, and relational approach to children and adolescents. Jill is passionate about working with young people to help improve their well-being and overall mental health. She holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Southern Mississippi and a Master of Social Work from Jackson State University. Mrs. Walters' experience includes service to pediatric inpatients and as a Mental Health Therapist at Brentwood Behavioral Healthcare. In her spare time, Jill enjoys spending time outdoors, traveling, and discovering new recipes with her husband, Evan, and their friends and family.

Edwina Thomas, LPC

Edwina Thomas

Edwina Thomas serves as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Pediatric Mental Health Therapist at MCAM. In this position Edwina provides individualized, integrative therapy approaches to children and adolescents addressing various mental health concerns, as well as offers consultation to children with complex medical concerns. She is experienced in the use of evidence-based practices, which she combines with a nurturing and supportive attitude to address specific needs of the children and adolescents. Edwina strives to encourage and enable young people to recognize, express and manage their thoughts, feelings and needs to reach their potential. Ms. Thomas holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Tulane University, a Master’s of Science in Guidance and Counseling from Jackson State University, and a Master’s of Science in Mental Health Counseling from Mississippi College. Edwina possesses over twenty years of experience in the mental health field with the majority of that experience in pediatric therapy settings such as Canopy Children’s Solutions and Hinds Behavioral Health Services. In her free time, Edwina enjoys cooking, baking, watching football and spending time with family and friends.
