Sheila Brown, AS

Sheila Brown serves as a Billing Specialist at the Mississippi Center for Advanced Medicine. In this role, Sheila ensures payments and remittances are posted to patient accounts in MCAM’s electronic health record system, communicates with insurance companies to process claims in a timely manner, and ensures the accuracy of patient statements. Ms. Brown holds an Associates of Science in Administrative Office Medical Management from Virginia College in Jackson. Sheila has over twenty years of health and medical office billing experience including time at Jackson Pediatric Associates and Lakeland Premier Women’s Clinic. Sheila is excited to bring her billing expertise and focus on communication and teamwork to MCAM. In her spare time, Sheila enjoys spending time with her sons and making memories.
Catoscha McGee, BS, MBA, CPC

Catoscha McGee serves as the Finance and Revenue Cycle Manager at the Mississippi Center for Advanced Medicine. In this role, Catoscha will be responsible for supervising all of the revenue cycle staff and managin the coding, billing, accounts payable and accounts receivable functions at MCAM. Ms. McGee holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and a Master of Business Administration from the Mississippi University for Women and is also a Certified Professional Coder. Prior to starting at MCAM, Catoscha has worked in financial leadership positions at Lakeland Premier Women’s Clinic, St. Dominic’s and in primary care and endocrinology settings. Catoscha is excited to bring her skillset to MCAM to provide additional support and leadership to financial operations. In her free time, she enjoys reading, spending time outdoors, and traveling with her husband Robert.
Sue Stevens, BS, RN

Sue Stevens works in the Financial Services department at MCAM and provides organizational support for accounts payable, patient account management, and payment processing. Sue has over twenty-one years of nursing experience and graduated with honors from Mississippi College with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and Cum Laude from Meridian Community College with an Associate Degree in Nursing. Ms. Stevens’ extensive accomplishments include owning and operating a fitness and weight loss facility, serving as a staff nurse for a vascular surgery practice and as charge nurse on an antepartum high risk pregnancy floor. Sue enjoys spending time with her husband, John, her children and their spouses, Rob (Tiffany), Laura (Ron) and grandchildren, Moxon, Nix, and Walker. She also likes to utilize her artistic abilities to create handmade quilts and greeting cards.
Khadija Sykes, AA, CPC

Khadija Sykes serves as a Coding and Billing Specialist at the Mississippi Center for Advanced Medicine. In this role, Khadija is responsible for the timely review, billing and follow up with payers regarding MCAM’s professional billing. Khadija also works with MCAM’s claims to ensure that they are coded correctly on the front end. Ms. Sykes serves as an integral part of the Finance team at MCAM by processing and reconciling complex insurance claims. Prior to MCAM, Khadija served in a variety of healthcare finance roles including time at Mercy Hospital and the Medical Center in Chicago and as a transplant biller at an academic medical center. Ms. Sykes graduated from Richard Daley College with her Associates degree. She also holds a certificate in Medical Billing and Coding from the Computer Training Institute of Chicago and is a Certified Professional Coder (CPC) accredited through AAPC. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, watching cooking shows, gardening, shopping and spending quality time with family.
Cynthia Wiggins

Cynthia Wiggins serves as a Medical Billing Denial Specialist at Mississippi Center for Advanced Medicine. In this role, Cynthia works to review claim denials and contact insurance companies to resolve outstanding issues. She also works to respond to patient questions and works with the chief financial officer to improve billing processes. Ms. Wiggins has an Associates of Science in Medical Billing and Coding from Virginia College and a Bachelor of Science in Healthcare Administration from Belhaven University. Cynthia has over eleven years of experience in medical billing in hospital-based billing roles.
