Miranda Bartholomew, LMSW
Miranda Bartholomew serves as a clinical social worker at MCAM’s new location in Slidell, Louisiana – the Louisiana Center for Advanced Medicine. Miranda graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Journalism from Dillard University in New Orleans, Louisiana, a Master of Social Work from Tulane University and has also completed a fellowship in infant mental health from Louisiana State University Health in New Orleans. Miranda is a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) and has spent the last 16 years serving as a pediatric social worker at Tulane Medical Center. She has extensive experience in supporting children and their families who are coping with chronic illness and other medical problems. Miranda’s kind spirit and gentle disposition put children and their families at ease even during the most difficult of circumstances. In her spare time, Miranda likes writing, gardening and international cuisine.
Megan Ford, LCSW
Megan Ford serves as a Social Worker and Care Coordinator for Pediatric Cardiology, Maternal Fetal Medicine, and Neuromuscular Medicine and Autonomic Disorders. In this role, Megan plays an active and critical role in helping establish a medical home for each patient. She works with the patients and their families to provide resources for insurance, college and career planning, educational services, prescription drug assistance, and many other services critical to comprehensive patient care. Megan routinely goes above and beyond to ensure that each patient's medical and socioeconomic needs are being met. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Social Work from Mississippi College and a Master of Science in Social Work from Jackson State University. Ms. Ford’s experience includes service to pediatric inpatient hematology/oncology patients and outpatient pediatric cardiology and pediatric heart transplant patients. For the last four years, Megan has served in a leadership role at Make-A-Wish Mississippi. In her spare time, Megan enjoys spending time with her husband Jonathan and two children, volunteering with Junior League of Jackson and Make-A-Wish MS, and is active in the foster care community in Mississippi. She is currently serving as the volunteer coordinator for Southern Christian Services for Children and Youth.
LeAnne Howard, LCSW
LeAnne is Director of Care Coordination at the Mississippi Center for Advanced Medicine and works to provide resources for patients regarding insurance, college and career planning, coordinating educational services, providing drug assistance, and most importantly supporting patients with rheumatologic and hematologic disorders. LeAnne received her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Mississippi State University and her Master of Social Work (MSW) from the University of Southern Mississippi. Ms. Howard has over 25 years of experience as a social worker and 15 years of experience in a pediatric clinic setting assisting children and their families who have chronic conditions. LeAnne is an avid Mississippi State football fan, is active in her church, and enjoys spending time with her son, Bailey who attends Mississippi State.
